From soft textures to dramatic and beautiful melodies, strings has such a big musical potential which STRYG is all about exploring. When you combine that with songs of amazing artists, you reach an exciting musical universe. The re-arrangements of these songs are made with the philosophy of enhance the characteristics of these and embracing the artists.
The first STRYG-project in 2022 offered a taste of the two inspiring artists Hjalte Ross and Charlotte-Amalie with the incredible string ensemble Who Killed Bambi.
The present and honesty from Hjalte Ross, and the beautiful cinematic universe from Charlotte-Amalie combined with the strings created a magical experience.
The second STRYG-project in 2023 featured the two incredible artists Sofie Trolle and Martin Buster again accompanied by the string ensemble Who Killed Bambi.
Working with such an expressive artist as Sofie Trolle and with so well-written songs from Martin Buster created the perfect scene for a fusionating project like STRYG.
It has been a goal for these two STRYG-projects to work with some great artists from the northern part of Jutland in Denmark, and give an opportunity for the artists to try out their music in a new context, which hopefully will create a positive impact on the artists musical journeys forward.
These two projects could not be realized without great support from the venue Studenterhuset in Aalborg and support from the “Aalborg Kommune”.
